Fresh Water Wells in India
Globaly, nearly 1,600 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. That’s more than AIDS and malaria combined. Nowhere is this problem greater than among the low caste tribal villages in India.
As part of our ongoing committment to the people living inside of Tribal Villages in Andhra Pradesh, India, Culture Waves Global has established a goal of digging/drilling three new deep-bore wells per year. These wells are gennerally close to 300 feet deep and provide fresh, disease-free drinking water for tousands of people in these poor areas. The water comes out of the ground at a refreshing 58 degrees! You can imagine what a blessing this is in a tropical climate! Providing drinking water for the poor is just the right thing to do. We all need water.
If you, your church, or Sunday School class would like to sponsor a well project, please call us toll-free at 1-888-391-4380. The cost of sponsorship is $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 per well. This can be done in instalments. The wells will be drilled upon receipt of all of the needed funds.
