Sponsor An Orphan

Culture Waves Global has made a long-term commitment to sponsor orphanages in the Tribal Villages of Kambalapalam and Yeleswaram, India.  This is part of our ongoing commitment to those living in these tribal villages.  We call it the M25 Initiative based on Matthew 25.

In Matthew 25, Jesus gives us a parable that is commonly referred to as The Parable of the Sheep and Goats.  In this parable, Jesus says, "31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.      32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’"

Culture Waves Global is working dilligently amoung "the least of these."  Our growing commitment to the orphans of Kambalapalam is unwaivering.  We are passionate about making certain that the basics necessities of life are provided for them along with our partner church in India.  Those necessities include food, clothing, shelter, and safety.

Our vision for 2018 and beyond is as follows:

  1. Food: Provide adequate financial support to ensure each orphan receives at least two full
    meals per day, every day.

  2. Expand the scope of the food project to include all of the poor children living in the tribal
    village of Kambalapalam, India.

  3. Clothing: Provide adequate financial support to ensure each child has age appropriate
clothing that is to be purchased in India and keeps to their traditional clothing type.

  4. Shelter: The current orphanage is full with nearly 25 children (nearly equal boys and girls).
This is forcing the pastor to turn away children when government agencies call.  We believer
that God would have us build additional facilities that will allow the church to receive up to
100 orphan children.  A building that will accomodate an additional 25 children will cost
$7,000.00 to $10,000.00 to construct.  This can begin once the funds have been received.

  5. Provide resource necessary for ongoing Christian education and training for the families
    living in Kambalapalam, India.

  6. Make certain that the orphanage is a safe haven for the children.  This is accopmplished by
having appropriate staff in place to care for the kids.

  7. Education/Training: We are currently praying about how we can best educate the children in the Tribal Village.  The public system for them is sporatic and sub-standard.  Culture Waves Global is seeking funding to build and staff a private Christian school.  This will provide each child with a high school education and help to break the cycle of poverty.

  8. Establish a skilled trade center.  This will be a place where the orphans can learn a skilled trade that will allow them to provide for themselves and their families once they "age out" of the orphanage.  We will hire professionals from the nearby cities to come and lead these classes.  Classes could include:

    a. Sewing classes

    b. Carpentry

    c. Construction

    d. Basic IT

    e. Medical assistant

    f. Education assistant

  9. Establish a scholarship fund/endowment that will provide the resource necessary to send the orphan children who have "aged out" of the orphanage to a two year college where they can earn an Associate's Degree.

  10. Hire additional Christian staff who live with and care for the orphans on a full-time basis.  We currently have one couple who live with and care for the current group of children.

You can help us minister to the orphanage in Kambalapalam, India.  It's as simple as Pray, Give, and Go.

  1. Pray daily for the children of Kambalapalam, India.

  2. Become a financial partner.  This can be through a one time gift or monthly support.

  3. Go with one of our teams.  We make trips each March and September.

Sponsor An Orphan

Below, you can scroll through through images of some of children for whom we are seeking sponsors.  The tribal villages of Kambalapalam and Yeleswaram, India are desperately poor.  Hunderds of children live in these two villages and are in need of assistance with some of bare necessities of every day life.  Your gift of $40.00 per month will help provide food, clothing, sheter, school uniforms, and school supplies for these children.  Larger donations are also appreciated and needed.  These allow us to complete large-scale capital projects that also impact the children.  Some capital projects include: Solar powered lights in remote villages, deep-bore water wells, free medical clinics and medicine, buidling new buildings in order to house additional children in the church-run orphanage.
